Good to see the North Midlands with a sprinkling of Bromsgrove and former Bromsgrove players win the final round of the Bill Beaumont Cup division 2 South at Somerset by the narrowest of margins (36-40). They go on to the final at Twickenham next Sunday where they meet Northumberland in the final. Kick off for this particular match is 09.30am. Breakfast rugby!!! There are other games on that day too, why not make a day of it. Good luck in the final lads.

Bienvenue à Montoire qui sont en visite Bromsgrove et Finstall parc ce week-end. 
 
Welcome to Montoire who are visiting Bromsgrove and Finstall Park this weekend. In this annual event which was hosted by Montoire veterans last year the Crusaders our very own veterans side will be playing host and hopefully beating them, AGAIN!smiley
All are welcome to come and watch this clash of the ancients on Saturday. The bar will be open, it could get messy!

Four Bromsgrove players have been selected for the North Midlands squad to play Devon at Stourton tomorrow (Saturday 4th May) Steve Blackburn, Phil Horton, Dave Hughes and Steve Smith are joined by Dave Brazier who plays as a Moseley player, his parent club. Also in the squad is Caolan Ryan.
This is the only home fixture for the North Midlands in the pool stages, Their other fixture is against Somerset at Bridgwater on 18th May. The pool winners will get promotion to division one and meet the winners of the North division in the final on the 25th May.

We've created a just for fun poll for the supporters of Bromsgrove RFC to vote for their player of the season. It has all the players who've turned out for the 1st XV this season with the exception of two who left to join other clubs. You can only vote once and the poll closes on 23rd May just before the players' dinner. You can find the poll in the left hand column.

Hull 40

Bromsgrove came out of the blocks from the start and got three tries in the first half hour and looked ready to secure the win with the try bonus already secured by half time. However, Hull were not ready to give in and too many errors let Hull's free flowing back line punish the home side. There were one or two bewildering refereeing decisions that cost us points but in the end we didn't appear to be able to stem the second half tide and the pacey Hull full back.
